The Breezes
Norfolk, Connecticut
Exclusive: $1,350,000

The Breezes was designed by noted American architect Henry Henry Hornbostel (far left) in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, 1886Hornbostel, designer of the Queensborough (59th Street) Bridge, and built for Abel I. Smith, a prominent Norfolk resident, in 1904.  With exterior Mission Style elements and interior Georgian Revival elements, the Shingle Style house is  wonderful as well as unusual.
The house is expansive with 6,500 square feet, has high ceilings, beautiful wood floors, diamond pane windows and much original detail.  The floor plan is outstanding and the house is well-sited on 4.5 open, broad acres for privacy and sunlight.
